Getting Around in Copenhagen

Public transport is safe and very reliable in Copenhagen. We recommend you purchase a blue two-zones 'klippekort' on your arrival. Clip twice for journeys to and from the airport and once for journeys within the city (valid for 1h after clipping).

Arriving at the Airport (Lufthavn): The city center ('Nyhavn' or 'Nørreport') is only a 15-minutes ride with the metro. Take the Øresund train from the airport if you live close to the central station (departure every 10 minutes). The conference venue is only a 20-minutes metro ride from the airport and 5-minutes walk along Njalsgade. Coming from the airport on the M2, change at Christianshavn from M2 to M1 direction 'Vestamager' and get off at Islands Brygge).

Arriving at Copenhagen Central Station (Københavns Hovedbanegård): The city centre is in walking distance, the conference venue at the University is only a 10-15 minute bus or train ride away. Take bus 5A to the stop 'Amager Boulevard/Amager Fælledvej' and walk from here. Or take Bus 12 from Vesterport or Bus 33 from Rådhuspladsen (townhall square) until 'Universitetet Amager' and walk from there. see map. You may also take the s-train (s-tog) to Nørreport and change to metro M1, direction Vestamager (get off at Islands Brygge). You can check for your most convenient connections on rejseplanen/journey planner.
